And I know it's probably not Liam's favorite part of the day. "What's he doing exactly?" I asked, starting to think Chris was being too tough on my son. "Well.he comes out on the field like twenty minutes late," Chris said. "And when I ask him why, he'll make these jokes about how it took him a long time to change into his gym uniform. "And I mean, a few minutes late? I'm not gonna make a big deal out of that. "Yeah, you're right, that's not okay," I agreed. "And what makes it worse is," Chris continued, "it seems to be having an impact on some of the other boys in the class. The first time he was late, one other kid was also late with him. I really can't have that kind of negative influence spreading through the class." The past couple days, it's been like three or four boys each time. "No, of course not, that makes sense," I said, realizing Chris wasn't just being a hard-ass.
